Steel Springs Pictures is Peter Lawson’s Los Angeles and Australian based production company which develops, produces and co-finances film and television projects that focus on thought provoking and socially impactful true-life stories. The company most recently wrapped production on the upcoming feature film, ALICE from writer Krystin Ver Linden and starring Keke Palmer, Common and Jonny Lee Miller. Steel Springs Pictures has a number of film and TV projects in development including the new television series THE PRICE YOU PAY, written and created by Neil Cross (The Mosquito Coast, Luther), which is in pre with Fremantle and Ben Younger is directing.

Lawson has built an impressive career over the past two decades as a production executive and Executive Producer collaborating with top directing, producing, and acting talent. He has headed up production divisions at Miramax Films, Thunder Road, The Weinstein Company and Open Road Films. Lawson was an Executive Producer and central to the creative and commercial success of Tom McCarthy’s critically acclaimed and Oscar award winning film SPOTLIGHT and the Keanu Reeves action franchise JOHN WICK. His other credits also include SLEEPLESS, starring Jamie Foxx and Michelle Monaghan, Oliver Stone’s SNOWDEN and John Hillcoat’s TRIPLE NINE.

Sinclair most recently served as executive vice president of Programming and Development for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. Prior to joining OWN, and after several roles at the Oprah Winfrey Show, Sinclair was EVP of Development for Harpo Studios, Inc. Multiple successful projects were developed and produced in his tenure at Harpo and OWN, including several prime time specials including two annual “Oprah’s Oscar Specials” and “Christmas at the White House”as well as the prime time reality series, “Oprah’s Big Give” all for ABC. In addition, Sinclair was behind the groundbreaking seven-part documentary series “Belief,” and the acclaimed docu-series, “Released” (both were executive produced with Oprah Winfrey.) Sinclair developed and was executive producer of the Emmy-nominated series “Oprah’s Master Class” which ran for 6 seasons and he co-created and produced “Iyanla: Fix My Life”, OWN’s highest rated and longest running unscripted series. Also for OWN, Sinclair developed several of the highly successful continuing series, “Love & Marriage: Huntsville”, “Ready to Love”, and “Family or Fiancé.” A primetime Emmy nominee, Sinclair is also the recipient of seven NAACP Image Awards, several Gracie Awards and multiple Tellys amongst others.
